Hemorrhoids also spell as hemroids refer to as piles. Hemorrhoids can define as swollen blood vessels in and around the anus that cause itching, pain, and sometimes bleeding. Swelling of rectum veins is the main characteristic of hemorrhoid.

Hemorrhoids can be separated into two parts on the basis of their occurrence – one of Internal Hemorrhoids and second is External Hemorrhoids.

Different types of medical
procedures are available to treat piles including:
1. Rubber Band Ligation ” Rubber bands are wrapped around the pile restricting blood flow which eventually cause the pile to disappear naturally.
2. Sclerotherapy ” the pile is injected with hardening liquid. This eventually causes the pile to disappear.
3. Laser or Infrared Coagulation ” These days this is a rare process. The basic idea behind it is to blast the pile with a laser beam which destroys the pile.
4. Hemorrhoidectomy ” this is a surgical procedure used only on advanced cases of piles such as severe bleeding. It is very effective but recovery can be very painful.

Herbal Medication
An herbal remedy is made from a medicinal plant or plants and used to prevent and treat diseases and ailments or to promote health and healing.
Barberry (Berberis Aristata) is a blood purifier that has also been used for piles. The unique qualities of berberine-rich plants lie in their ability to promote healthy intestinal microbial balance and normal liver and gallbladder function.
Butcher’s Broom (Ruscus Aculeatus) is used to treat varicose veins and hemorrhoids. The vein-narrowing qualities of butcher’s broom have been found to relieve discomfort associated with varicose veins and other circulatory conditions.
Horse Chestnut (Aesculus Hippocastanum) extract standardized for aescin or escin, seems to increase the strength and tone of the veins in particular. It has astringent and anti-inflammatory properties. It may be used internally to aid the body in the treatment of phlebitis, varicose veins, and hemorrhoids. Treating Hemorrhoids during Pregnancy

Posted by: maynard | Comments (0)

Medical treatment of hemorrhoids is not recommended for pregnant women. There are numerous natural remedies that work well when treating hemorrhoids during pregnancy.

When Do Hemorrhoids Show Up?

Hemorrhoids form when there is an extra pressure on the rectum and anal area and this pressure is at maximum when a lady is pregnant. Hence hemorrhoids show up in increased numbers during pregnancy. Hence hemorrhoids and pregnancy go hand in hand in most cases. However, do not worry; there are plenty of solutions available in these days of technology. Though the most common form of solutions and remedies do not work but there are many alternatives available

Treating Hemorrhoids While Pregnant

Since you are pregnant you should avoid medicines unless your doctor says otherwise. There are few changes that will be easy to make and you should see some relief.

*Avoiding constipation- You need to take extra care and prevent constipation at all cost even if it means taking bulk-forming laxative. Also change in the eating habits is a must. You should avoid deep fried foods and all other food rich in protein and fats. You must also increase the intake of vitamins, salads and fresh juices.

*Make sure to use ice-packs- You must use ice-packs on the anal area to keep the veins in that area shrunk. This will help in combating the hemorrhoids and also keep the baby safe and you relaxed.

*Taking regular warm baths- This will make sure to keep you relaxed at all points of time and also help in maintaining a proper blood circulation. Plus that you will feel mentally clean and neat. This is indeed a major plus.

*Drinking more liquids – Adding more liquids like water and juices to your diet should help keep things moving along. Staying “regular” is vital to both keeping hemorrhoids at bay and preventing them from becoming worse and allowing them time to heal.

*Donuts – If your hemorrhoids are so painful sitting is difficult then consider getting a hemorrhoid donut for use at home.

* Food Choices – Making smart food choices can make all the difference if you are pregnant with hemorrhoids. Foods should be easy on your digestive system. Any foods which may cause constipation should be avoided. Most vegetables are a good choice. Meats take longer to digest and should be avoided or eaten in very small amounts.

Hemorrhoids aren’t any fun. It’s important to take action at the first signs of piles.  Ignoring piles could make symptoms worse.  Hopefully making some of these simple changes will help ease the pain.
